Throughout this blog, I discussed and explained how dance evolved through human history. I also discussed dance’s contribution to society. Back in early human history, dance was used for ceremonies and entertainment. Now, dance can be someone’s way of life.
People can dedicate their whole lives and pursue careers solely based around perfecting a technique in one dance genre. Dance can rule over what music we listen to, to the people we hang out with and even the clothes we wear. Dance is a huge part of our culture. As social creatures, humans long for creative and artistic ways of expressing our emotions to the world.
All of the dances tie together nicely in some shape or form. Every single dance contributes its culture on to another dance or culture. The dances we have today are only made possible by generation after generation of inherited skills and techniques. Without dance, the whole world wouldn’t be recognizable today.
